 Mountainside Medical Equipment, Inc. is a Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), established in June 2002. The company’s foundation is deeply rooted in the service and compassion of its founder, Marty Sr., who served as a medic in the Vietnam War. His passion for helping others and his experience on the battlefield inspired a lifelong commitment to providing durable, high-quality medical supplies. After returning home, Marty Sr. expanded his knowledge by working for various medical supply companies, eventually bringing his son, Marty Jr., into the field. Together, they built strong relationships while supplying nursing homes across Central New York.

When the pharmacy they worked for was sold and their jobs were at risk, the duo decided to take a leap of faith. Using Marty Jr.'s garage as a warehouse, a spare room as an office, and a Chevy Blazer for deliveries, they launched Mountainside Medical Equipment. Leveraging their industry connections, they quickly established partnerships with distribution companies and began focusing on nursing homes.


Through dedication, quality service, and competitive pricing, the business steadily grew. In 2006, recognizing the shift in consumer behavior, Mountainside Medical transitioned online—an innovative move that helped the company stay ahead of competitors and thrive when others faltered.
